The story of Masionnoée
Peace. Strength, Tranquillity. The 2013-founded fashion house stands for these three things and more. It also stands for strength, confidence – and cool.
Berlin is arguably the planet’s coolest city and right at the heart of it stands Maisonnoée, drawing inspiration and life from the epicentre of confident fashion. Sophie Oemus has proved in her collections that she is skillful; her self-assured collections epitomise classic modernity, with a bold leather signature that’s very Berlin.
In many ways, this story has only just begun. Everything about Maisonnoée is new, including its young talented designer Sophie Oemus, graduate of the International University of Art for Fashion (ESMOD Berlin). Founding MAISONNOÉE Berlin was her first project after university. Her collections are created in her studio in Potsdamer Straße. MAISONNOÉE Berlin opened its first flagship store right there on Potsdamer Straße 91, in time for its debut Berlin Fashion Week in June 2016.
Signature Style
Powerful, self-assured yet unobtrusive style means one is likely to be noticed for all the right reasons in Maisonnoée. The collections are designed exclusively in Berlin and produced entirely in Europe.
One of the brand’s recurring style signatures is the use of leather, such as an amazing vest printed with an all-over flower print. This key piece, ‘CORIOUS’ is an example of Maisonnoée’s innovative leatherwork techniques. Another signature is use of black with exclusive use of colour. This season sees flower prints on black, depicted in an ultra-modern electric blue colour.
The brand creates high-quality, ready-to-wear fashion. Clear cuts, simple, feminine and timeless elegance with selected materials typify all MAISONNOÉE Berlin collections. The self-assured confidence of each piece ensures that the collections are a sustainable combination of modern and classic, meaning they can be worn timelessly.

For Girls Who… are simply the coolest
Maisonnoée designs for women who are successful, intelligent and cultured. Now, in 2017 the brand is foraying into children’s fashion too, offering clothes for kids that are unapologetically cool! The aptly-named debut for kids is called SHAMELESSLY COOL and is a collection that fuses classic cuts with up-to-the-minute exclusive prints, electric blue and hot pink colour flashes and super-cool slogans. We also love the empowering names given to each piece in the collection, such as ‘Curious’, ‘Heroic’, ‘Too Cool’, or ‘Party’. It is thrilling to be able to offer this range exclusively in Germany, in our Barbara Frères Boutique and Online Shop.

Maisonnoée in the future
We believe Maisonnoée has a major part to play in fashion’s future. In the four short years of it’s existence, the brand has seen lightning-quick expansion from its Berlin flagship to offering collections at a number of high fashion stores internationally, including Tokyo, Straßbourg, Hamburg, and Leipzig.
