Johanna Müller @ Barbara Frères
On Friday, the 8th of September we unveiled two childrens dresses which are in fact pieces of art. Visitors could meet the talented young artist Johanna Müller and marvel at the artful dresses as well as a small collection of her paintings.
What happens when you leave a young, talented artist alone with a beautiful white dupion silk dress?
Two dresses designed by our team at Barbara Frères served as canvases to Johanna Müller , master student at the famous Kunstakademie Düsseldorf with Prof. Herbert Brandl.
Charity Auction to Support Children in Need
Until the end of September the two unique dresses can be bid on in our Buotique. The opening bid was at 400€. The proceeds of the auction will be donated to the Sterntaler Charity group in Düsseldorf. Sterntaler runs various projects which support children living in poverty.
The donation will specifically support a living space dedicated to children who have lost their parents and have been deeply traumatized as victims of physical and psychological agression. Sterntaler supports these children in multiple ways with the aim of enabling them to lead a “more normal” childhood.
How You Can Participate in the Auction
Until the 30th of September you have the opportunity to bid on these two beautiful and absolutely unique pieces of art. Made from white dupion silk, the young local artist Johanna Müller has hand painted the two dresses and transformed them into something truly special.
Art Dress number one is called “Fox” and is a size 8 years. Dress number two is called “fall flowers” and is a size 6 years. Both dresses are made from 100% silk.
